At Center United Methodist Church, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by sharing God’s love, welcoming all people, and serving our community with open hearts and open hands.
Rooted in the grace of Jesus Christ, we seek to be a church where everyone has a place, everyone is valued, and everyone is invited to grow in faith. Through worship, prayer, fellowship, and service, we strive to nurture disciples who carry Christ’s love beyond the walls of the church and into our homes, neighborhoods, community, and world.
We gather in faith. We grow in grace. We go forth to love and serve.
At Center United Methodist Church, our faith is rooted in the love and grace of God revealed to us through Jesus Christ. As part of The United Methodist Church, we join Christians around the world in seeking to know God, grow as disciples, and share Christ’s love through the way we live and serve.

We believe God loves every person and that God’s grace is available to all. Grace meets us before we even recognize God, welcomes us into a relationship with Christ, and continues working within us throughout our lives.
We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through his life, death, and resurrection, we see the depth of God’s love and the promise of forgiveness, reconciliation, new life, and hope.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is foundational to our Christian faith. United Methodists seek to understand Scripture through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, while also drawing upon Christian tradition, reason, and experience as we grow in our understanding of God.
Faith is more than something we believe—it shapes how we live. We believe God continually calls us to grow in grace, becoming more like Christ through prayer, worship, studying Scripture, Holy Communion, fellowship, generosity, and service.

We celebrate Baptism and Holy Communion as sacraments through which we experience God’s grace.
Through Baptism, we are welcomed into the covenant community of faith. At Christ’s table, we remember his saving love and receive grace for the journey ahead. In the United Methodist tradition, Christ’s table is open to all who seek to live in peace with one another, love Christ, and desire to grow in faith.
John Wesley taught that our love for God should be reflected in our love for our neighbors. We seek to put faith into action by caring for those in need, pursuing justice, showing compassion, and serving our community and world.
Our United Methodist mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. At Center UMC, we live into that mission by gathering in faith, growing in grace, and going into our community to share the love of Christ.
There is a place for you here as we learn, grow, serve, and follow Jesus together.

The Christian faith is not meant to be lived in isolation. Our church is a community where we come together to worship, serve, support one another, and reach beyond our walls to share God’s love with others.
We believe the church is more than a place we attend—it is a people we belong to. Through events such as Vacation Bible School, Easter egg hunts, open Sunday services, and other fellowship opportunities, we create spaces where families, friends, and members of our community can connect and grow together.
Our church also seeks to be an active part of the community through collaboration with Center High School, community outreach, supporting local needs, donations, and opportunities to welcome others into our church. We are committed to filling the pulpit through outreach and inviting new voices and members of the community to be part of our worship and ministry.
Through these events, partnerships, acts of service, and generosity, we hope to build meaningful relationships, strengthen our community, and show Christ’s love through both our words and our actions. Everyone is welcome, and there is always a place for you to get involved.
